In my opinion, the computer is the pinnacle of human achievement. The number of scientific advancements made thanks to its invention are nearly infinite. From space travel to instant mail transmission across the globe, from gene sequencing to photomanipulation, it's just amazing. Not to mention the social impacts that these abilities bring along.

For whatever reason, however, the individual may still find himself/herself repulsed with the power and the connection that this machine can bestow.

This pic was taken on a beach by the flat we're staying at in Canada Water, UK. If you can't tell, it's a personal computer. By the looks of it, it'd been in the water for months, maybe longer. Thanks to the tide receding, I was able to spot this beautiful jewel staring up at me.
